This 1970s five-bedroom house had a cellular ground-floor layout and a series of boxy rooms. The design opened up the plan to create a large kitchen, living and dining space, connected to the garden by a glass and metal extension leading to an outdoor dining area and integrated hot tub.
The project became a full internal refurbishment, including a complete rebuild of the first-floor layout after shortcomings in the original construction were uncovered during the works. The finished house is more open, more robust, and works as a fun easy to use second home near the beach.
